* Notary renewals are no longer processed in the County Clerks Office*

You can access current Notary information on the NYS Department of Licensing website at www.dos.ny.gov/notary-public

If you have submitted your renewal to our office prior to September 1, 2023 or New York State via online portal, you can call our office to confirm your expiration date at 315-785-3312, Option 2 during regular business hours.

FOIL requests are processed through the County Administrators office.

These can be found at the City, Town, or Village level. Instructions to request your document from the City of Watertown can be found at https://www.watertown-ny.gov/BirthDeathandMarriageCertificates

Birth Certificates From New York State

In addition to our local City, Town, and Village Clerks offices, Birth Certificates may also be obtained through the New York State Department of Health.  Please note however, that obtaining these records through its original filing place will be faster, more efficient, and more accurate.  To contact the New York State Health Department, click here or call (877)854-4481. Dog licenses can be obtained at the City, Town or Village Clerk where you reside.
