This page provides information on grant programs managed by the County, as well as links to additional funding opportunities available to municipalities, organizations, and community partners. These resources are intended to help communities identify funding sources and support local projects and initiatives.

Snowmobile Grant-In-Aid Program

The Department now works with five snowmobile clubs and administers this NYS grant pass-through program on behalf of Jefferson County. The 2025-2026 grant will be the 34th year that the County has participated in the program. This enables the Clubs to receive trail maintenance and grooming funds on 166 miles of public trails within Jefferson County annually.  Our trails connect to St. Lawrence, Lewis and Oswego County trails and beyond as part of the statewide 10,500 mile trail system.
