Jefferson County Public Transportation
Jefferson County has made significant progress since the adoption of the 2021 Coordinated Transportation Plan.
Today, the County has:
Established a County-wide transit system framework
Purchased six transit buses arriving in 2026
Awarded bus operations through a competitive RFP process
Implemented Mobility Management services
Advanced implementation of the First Mile Last Mile program
The system is transitioning from planning to full operational deployment. As the transit system rollout progresses, County Planning Department staff will update the information here.
