Effective March 1, 2026, adults aged 18-64 must meet the Federal government work rules for Able Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWD) in order to continue receiving SNAP.
Unless you meet an exemption, you must meet the work requirements monthly and failure to do so for any three months in a fixed 36-month period will result in a loss of eligibility for SNAP.
Many adults are exempt from ABAWD requirements.
