Learn how to cast your vote using the secure, paper-based voting system in Jefferson County. Our voting process combines voter-marked paper ballots with digital scan technology to ensure accuracy, security, and transparency.
Voters use paper ballots to make their selections by filling in the ovals next to their chosen candidates or propositions.
Take your ballot to a private voting booth to ensure your vote remains confidential.
Insert your completed ballot into the Digital Scan Voting Machine.
The scanner will immediately tabulate your vote.
Your original paper ballot is securely stored in the machine for audits and recounts if necessary.
If you need assistance while voting, trained election inspectors are available at every poll site to help you navigate the process.
