Permanent Housing
Jefferson County Department of Social Services administers five permanent housing programs that are available to individuals/families experiencing homelessness, including those who are experiencing housing instability due to fleeing or attempting to flee a domestic violence situation. Our housing programs provide rental assistance and supportive services to homeless individuals in Jefferson County to help stabilize their housing and foster self-sufficiency to the extent possible.

Through this membership, the Department receives funding for four programs from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to assist families/individuals who are experiencing homelessness obtain and maintain permanent housing.
Through the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, the Department is able to offer an additional fifth permanent housing program to those experiencing homelessness.
