    What Is A DRC- DISABILITY RESOURCE COORDINATOR?

We are specialized staff that help change local workforce systems to better serve individuals with disabilities under NYSCION.   

I serve people ages 18 through 64 with all abilities. Wether you are native or new to the area, here are some ways I can assist...

1. Job Exploration. Finding what works best for your strengths and skills.

2. Resume Building / Mock Interviewing.

3. Connecting with Community Partners and resources to help you reach your employment goals.

4. Educate staff, community colleges, businesses, and others on The Americans with Disabilities Act, disability etiquette, and the potential of hiring people with disabilities.

5. Coordinate and assist in recruiting individuals with disabilities to participate in career pathway programs that fit their needs.

6. Provide benefits advisement and work incentive counseling to job seekers who are a receipt of SSA benefits/SSI/SSDI.  

7. Employment Workshops: Finacial Budgeting, Work Ethic, How to be a team with co-workers, Ai and applications and so much more.
